Mario and Sharday Richardson know first hand the heartache of losing a child. Their oldest daughter, Moriah, had been diagnosed in 2011, at the tender age of two with a brain stem glioma, a rare and inoperable form of brain cancer. Moriah gained her angel wings in September of 2013, two weeks shy of her fifth birthday.
In 2016, Sharday began Uniquely Your’s Events, a children’s event planning company based out of Virginia. Through Uniquely Your’s Events, she has hosted many special events such her annual “Remember Me Always” Daddy|Daughter Mommy|Son Valentines Dance, all where proceeds benefited various pediatric cancer organizations that personally helped the family in their time of need.
She, however, wanted to go a step further and do more. In 2018 she decided to launch The Forever Moriah Foundation, a nonprofit organization that grants milestone celebrations and birthday party wishes to terminally and critically ill children between the ages of 1 and 16.
As Moriah’s parents, they are dedicated to keeping her legacy alive. All proceeds from book sales will fund the granting of wishes through The Forever Moriah Foundation.
